Adventures in beer Vol.5: Jindong, Rocky Ridge Brewing.
Volume five is a step across the ditch to the very west of NZ's west island to Rocky Ridge brewing who are crushing the Australian scene. We met Ross and his team at hop harvest last year and sent Chris back home to WA to brew. Resting my eyes is what Chris needed on his return. A thick & luscious oat cream hazy featuring an appropriate Kiwi/Aussie blend of hops. A judicious 50/50 mix of Topaz and Nectaron that punches a powerfully rich stonefruit salad aroma with some candied orange rinds, a truly epic aroma. Finishing with a big full and smooth mouthfeel from all those oats and a little bite of hop flavour this beer will satisfy every hop head out there.
